Lawn Sprinklers Installer / Irrigation Repair Technician

Since 1976 Chuck Harrison Lawn Sprinklers has created the gold standard for lawn sprinkler design and installation in the greater Dearborn / Dearborn Heights areas. We are poised to expand our operations and are looking for GREAT employees to take EXCELLENT care of our well established customer base and future clients!

We are looking for candidates with Lawn Sprinkler / Landscaping / Facilities Maintenance experience to begin working as early as the beginning of March. Training will be available although ideally you will have 2-4 years experience working in our industry. We need professionals to perform all aspects of Lawn Sprinkler installation, repair, service, troubleshooting, and perform other duties as assigned. Rewards will be great for hardworking, business development minded individuals. An experience based hourly rate, commission, bonuses, and specialized incentives await the right candidate!

Requirements:

– 2-4 years minimum experience at an outdoor services company OR…
1-2 years of Lawn Sprinkler installations, repairs, & trouble shooting problems
-Experience driving to multiple customer sites to perform service work on a daily basis
-Clean driving record. CDL preferred
-Ability to work outside in ALL types of weather (sometimes very Hot or Cold) as needed
-Ability to work extended hours including weekends as necessary
-Comfortable in a “non-smoking” work environment for extended periods of time
-Understand how Landscape / Sprinkler installation machines and equipment works
-Understand how to use basic hand tools
-Creative problem solver & have a salesmanship mindset
-Excellent communications skills with Owner and Customers including: basic math skills and legible handwriting when writing out invoices, estimates, etc.
-Know how to use a smartphone, tablet, and/or laptop
-Be professional in appearance & keep work areas neat
-Be safety focused

While these jobs are hard work & do have full time hours there will be weeks that only part time hours will be available based on work load. Also hiring part-time employees too.

Must have reliable transportation to/from job sites with work start times that might be as early as 7:00 am.

Pay rate: $8 – $14 per hour to commensurate with experience. Performance based raises will be given to hard workers. Generous incentive pay opportunities will be available as well.

As a condition of employment final candidates will need to pass very thorough background check and drug screening process before an offer of employment is given.

No felonies on record & clean driving history is a must.
